Halle Walker is a senior in the Communication Disorders program at Texas State University. She is projected to graduate in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and a minor in Psychology. Her interests include child language acquisition and working across age groups with neurogenic communication disorders. Halle plans to continue her education by pursuing a Master’s degree of Speech Language-Pathology in the Fall of 2022.

Stacy Robinson is a senior at Texas State University. She plans to graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Disorders in May 2022. After graduating, she plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Her interest includes neurogenic disorders and working with populations across the lifespan.

Joslyn is interested in literacy intervention, language acquisition, and development with children from diverse backgrounds. Mari Martinez is a junior at Texas State University. She plans to graduate in May 2023 with Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She is interested in studying vestibular audiology and rehabilitation. Mari hopes to attend graduate school and pursue a career as an audiologist.

Her interests include bilingual language development, auditory habilitation and rehabilitation, and neurogenic disorders. Hannah Hufnagel worked in the lab during her senior year. She graduated from Texas State University in May 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. She is looking forward to continuing her studies at Texas State University in Fall 2021. Her clinical interests include treatment of speech sound disorders and language disorders in children.

Savannah Boazman-Colburn is a senior in the undergraduate Communication Disorders program at Texas State University in Round Rock. She will graduate in May 2022, with plans to pursue a Master’s degree starting in Fall 2022. Although she has many interests in this field, she would love to work with children in a school setting.

Kourtney is intrigued by the neurogenic disorders and hopes to one day work with children and adults in a medical setting.

Raylynn Hendrick is an undergraduate senior in Communication Disorders at Texas State University. She is the 2019-2020 president of the SERTOMA chapter at Texas State University and a member of the NSSHLA chapter of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her research interests concern graduate student biases and stuttering variation profiles for brain-computer interface analysis.

Jadea Hill is a senior at Texas State University who is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology. After graduating in May of 2020, Jadea hopes to continue her education in graduate school in order to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. Her future interests include specializing in individuals with autism and related disorders.

Kelsey Karmann is a senior in the Texas State University Communication Disorders Program. She plans to graduate with a bachelors degree in May of 2020 and hopes to pursue a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. In the future, she hopes to work with a variety of ages and disorders from school-aged children to adults with neurogenic disorders.

Nelly Lillie is a senior in the Communication Disorders program at Texas State University and is projected to graduate May 2020. She plans to continue to graduate school for speech-language pathology after graduation. She is bilingual in Spanish and wants to pursue a career in bilingual therapies, as well as fluency disorders. Nelly is currently working on 2 research proposals during her undergraduate studies which involve biases in first year graduate students and fluency disorders. She is also a veteran of the United States Air Force, where she served 2 overseas deployments.

She also plans on pursing her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders Fall 2020. In the future, she would love to specialize in working with adults with neurogenic communication disorders.

He plans to graduate in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and a minor in Psychology. Quan is interested in literacy intervention, developmental and neurogenic communication disorders with a bilingual/multicultural emphasis.

Eric Rodriguez is a senior at Texas State University and a Terry Foundation Scholar. He plans to graduate in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and a minor in Psychology. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a Doctorate of Audiology in August 2020. Eric will be presenting a poster regarding first-year graduate student’s biases and their effects on clinical decision making at the ASHA 2019 conference in Orlando. His research interest includes clinical decision making and the application of telepractice in audiology. He is currently working on his Undergraduate Honors Thesis exploring expert speech-language-hearing professionals’ perspectives on hearing screening applications on smart devices used during telepractice.

Charlsa is interested in early language acquisition of children who use AAC, especially those with autism spectrum disorders.

Her research interests involve neurocognitive disorders and early language intervention. JoAnn is currently a practicing speech-language pathologist in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Bethany is currently a second year graduate student. As an undergraduate, she worked in   Dr. Schwarz lab for 2 years. As a graduate student before beginning her externships, she was a graduate research assistant  in Dr. Ranjini Mohan’s lab and worked on a neurogenic research study. Her fields of interest are early childhood intervention and neurogenic disorders. She plans to graduate with her Masters in May of 2020.

Ashley Williams graduated with a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders in May of 2017. She graduated from Texas State University in May 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders. Ashley is currently working on completing her clinical certification requirements and hours for Speech-Language Pathology with a specialization in Neurogenic, Voice and Swallowing Disorders. She is a practicing speech-language pathologist in the Austin-San Antonio area.
